Cboe is currently one of the largest U.S. equities market operators on any given day. We operate four U.S. equities exchanges – the BZX Exchange, BYX Exchange, EDGA Exchange, and EDGX Exchange. Cboe BYX Equities Introduces Match Trade Prevention for Periodic Auctions Effective August 15, 2025, Cboe BYX Equities Exchange (BYX) will introduce Match Trade Prevention (MTP) functionality for Periodic Auctions. On entry, Periodic Auction orders marked with an MTP modifier will not execute or initiate an auction against opposite side resting interest also marked with an MTP modifier originating from the same unique identifier.
